Since 1838, serving the financial needs of our community has been the driving force of BSNB. We continue to commit to our future by honoring our past. Our original home office at 87 Front Street in Ballston Spa, which served as a private residence in 1824, has been a long-standing landmark serving customers and businesses for over 187 years. The BSNB Board of Directors and Executive Leadership have made a commitment to preserve its historic presence to ensure that this cornerstone building will remain a vital hub in the downtown Village of Ballston Spa for years to come.
Finishing Touches
We’re happy to share that the renovation of our historic home office on Front Street is in its final stages, with every detail nearly complete after months of careful work.
In the coming weeks, we’ll reopen our doors, ready to welcome you into a refreshed space that honors our nearly 200-year legacy while embracing the future.

Midway Through the Project
August 12th, 2025—We’re just about halfway through the construction phase of the historic renovation of our original home office building! Our focus will be to upgrade the exterior of the building with a clean, fresh look while maintaining the historical appearance from the beloved clock that adorns the sidewalk all the way up to the original roof. The interior will feature an updated full-service branch, new ATM, new Drive-Thru, and modern technology for our employees to meet the evolving needs of our customers today and into the future. Time is flying by on this renovation project, but we are building something timeless.

Renovations Begin
June 3rd, 2025 – BSNB’s Board of Directors and Executive Leadership were joined by several members of the community outside of our original home office on Front Street to celebrate the commencement of renovations.
Plans for Renovations Announced
April 10th, 2025 – BSNB announced that it will begin historic rehabilitation of its original headquarters at 87 Front Street in Ballston Spa, starting June 2, 2025. The rehabilitation project is made possible through the partnership with Landmark Consulting LLC, Historic Preservation and Architectural Services, hcp architects, and BBL Construction Services. BSNB has applied for approval with the National Register of Historic Places and the New York State Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit Program under the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.
