We have been notified that a data breach has occurred at Heartland Payment Systems, a company that processes credit and debit card transactions nationwide. It is important to note that data breaches do not always lead to fraud, and they rarely lead to identity theft. In response to this data breach, BSNB is taking additional steps to ensure that customer information is safe.
BSNB customers who may be impacted by this incident will receive a notification letter from the bank and a new debit card will be issued.
As a customer, you can help protect your account. We are asking customers to monitor their statements thoroughly. If you have not already registered for online banking access, we recommend you do so today. Please click the "Register" link at the top left-hand of the page.
Online access will allow you to monitor your account as often as you like.
